Upon our arrival at El Dorado International Airport, our team will be waiting to transfer us to the hotel. Bogotá begins to reveal itself — a city more than 2,600 meters above sea level, with all its history, its cuisine, and its distinctive energy waiting to be discovered.
Bogotá is one of the few capital cities in the world where you can travel through three thousand years of history in a single day. The tour begins in La Candelaria, the neighborhood where the city was founded in 1538, with its narrow, steep streets that preserve the colonial memory of the capital. We visit the Gold Museum, home to the most important collection of pre-Columbian goldwork in the world — thousands of gold pieces that tell the worldview of the cultures who inhabited this land long before the Spanish arrived. The panoramic tour takes us through Plaza de Bolívar, Casa de Nariño, the Liévano Palace, and the Palace of Justice, before stopping at the Botero Museum, where the work of Colombia's most universally renowned artist stands alongside an international collection few museums in Latin America can match. The day closes at Monserrate — we ascend by funicular or cable car to 3,152 meters, the guardian hill of Bogotá, with the city spread out below in all its extent. Includes: Transportation, admission to Monserrate, the Gold Museum, and the Botero Museum, professional guide, and medical assistance. (Note: Gold Museum closed on Mondays — Botero Museum closed on Tuesdays).
We leave Bogotá for Zipaquirá, an Andean town one hour from the capital whose colonial center and squares preserve the legacy of the Muisca culture that inhabited this land before the conquest. But the day's central stop lies 180 meters underground. The Salt Cathedral is one of Colombia's most singular works — a cathedral built inside an active salt mine, where Catholic tradition, Muisca heritage, and modern engineering converge in a space that impresses as much for its scale as for its atmosphere. The guided tour passes through the Stations of the Cross, the Choir, and the three main naves, with light displays that highlight the architecture carved directly into the salt rock. A place unlike any other in the world. On our way back to the capital, we will make a brief photo stop at Andrés Carne de Res, a local cultural icon, to experience its vibrant atmosphere and capture memorable photos. The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. Includes: Breakfast, transportation, admission to the Salt Cathedral with guide, and medical assistance.
At the scheduled time, we transfer to El Dorado International Airport for the flight to Pereira. Upon arrival at Matecaña Airport, our team will be waiting to begin the tour right away. The first stop is the Santa Rosa de Cabal Hot Springs — waters that emerge from the earth at around 25 degrees Celsius, known for their medicinal properties and surrounded by lush vegetation. Free time to enjoy them before continuing to Montenegro, in the heart of Quindío, where we check in to the farm hotel for the night.
The day begins in Salento, one of the most emblematic towns of the Coffee Region, with its traditional wooden architecture and colorfully painted façades that have made its streets one of Colombia's most iconic postcards. From there we head into the Cocora Valley, nestled in the Central Cordillera within the influence area of Los Nevados National Natural Park. Here grows the world's largest forest of wax palms — the wax palm, Colombia's national tree, can reach heights of up to 60 meters, making this valley one of the country's most unique and stunning landscapes. Free time to walk the lookout points, take an eco-hike, or explore the valley on horseback (both options optional). In the afternoon we visit Filandia, a town of republican-style architecture and natural viewpoints offering some of the most complete views over the coffee-growing landscape. We return to the hotel as evening falls. Includes: Traditional lunch, transportation, admission to Cocora Valley, professional guide, and medical assistance.
The morning takes us to a coffee farm for one of the most complete experiences in the Coffee Region — a tour through the entire coffee-making process, from planting and harvesting the bean to the final cup. Colombia is one of the few countries in the world where coffee is grown by hand on mountainside slopes, and on this farm that process can be seen, smelled, and tasted up close. In the afternoon we tour the Coffee Cultural Landscape, declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO — a region where bahareque architecture, coffee and plantain crops, and the traditions of its people form a culture that exists nowhere else in the world. The towns of Buenavista, Córdoba, and Pijao show us this everyday life in its most authentic form. Includes: Transportation, admission to a coffee farm with Coffee Tour, professional guide, and medical assistance.
After breakfast, we embark on a drive to Medellín, a journey of approximately four hours through the scenic Andean landscape. Upon arrival and hotel check-in, the rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the city's vibrant culinary scene and visit the famous restaurants owned by local icons like Karol G, Maluma, and Rigoberto Urán.
Medellín is one of the most extraordinary stories in Latin America. A city that in the nineties was synonymous with violence and that in less than two decades transformed itself into being recognized in 2013 as the world's most innovative city. Touring it today means understanding how urban planning, education, and art can change the destiny of an entire community. The tour takes us through the most representative sites of that transformation, with Comuna 13 as the central stop. What was once one of the most dangerous neighborhoods on the continent is today an open-air museum — its electric escalators, which connected thousands of families to the rest of the city, and its graffiti murals covering every wall with the neighborhood's memory and dreams. A local guide joins us to tell the story from the inside, with a traditional ice cream included along the way. Includes: Private tourism-vehicle transportation (airport pickup and return to hotel), breakfast, metro and Metrocable, professional guide, local guide in Comuna 13, and traditional ice cream.
We leave early for Guatapé, about 80 kilometers from Medellín. The first stop is the Rock of Guatapé (Piedra del Peñol) — a 220-meter-tall granite monolith with a 770-meter perimeter that rises from the reservoir's waters as if it had always been there. Considered the second-tallest climbable rock formation in the world, its 740 steps built into a natural crevice lead to a summit from which the reservoir, the islands, and the Antioquia landscape unfold in a view that rewards every step. After a traditional Antioquian lunch with views over the reservoir, we head into Guatapé — Colombia's most colorful town. Its façades are decorated with zócalos, low-relief carvings depicting scenes of everyday life, nature, and local history on every house. We tour its streets by motochiva (motorized cart), the town's most authentic mode of transport, visit the Zócalos Square, and stroll along the boardwalk before boarding a boat tour of the Peñol-Guatapé Reservoir. As evening falls, we will return to Medellín to rest at the hotel or freely head out to experience the city's vibrant nightlife, top attractions, and exquisite dining options. Includes: Traditional lunch, private tourism-vehicle transportation, local guide, motochiva ride, and boat tour of the reservoir (Private).
After breakfast we transfer to José María Córdova International Airport for the flight to Cartagena. Upon arrival at Rafael Núñez Airport, our team will be waiting to take us to the hotel. The Colombian Caribbean begins here.
Cartagena is best explored aboard a chiva — the colorful, traditional Colombian vehicle that takes us through the city's most representative neighborhoods and corners. The panoramic tour passes through Bocagrande and Castillo Grande along the bay, past the Clock Tower, the Getsemaní neighborhood, Manga Island, and the Pie de la Popa neighborhood, and continues along Pedro de Heredia Avenue to the Zapatos Viejos (Old Shoes) monument — a tribute to Cartagena-born poet Luis Carlos López and one of the city's most beloved meeting points. The central stop is the Castle of San Felipe de Barajas, the largest and best-preserved fortification Spain built in the Caribbean. Its tunnels, ramparts, and bastions tell the story of the battles that earned Cartagena the name "La Heroica" (The Heroic City) — a city that withstood attacks from the leading European powers during the colonial era. The tour closes with a walk through the walled city, with its plazas, churches, flower-draped balconies, and cobblestone streets that made it a World Heritage Site. Includes: Transportation by chiva, admission to San Felipe Castle, and local guide.
From the dock we take a boat to Corales del Rosario National Natural Park — an archipelago of small coral islands in the Caribbean Sea with waters so clear you can see the bottom from the surface. We spend the day on a private island, with the beach and the sea as the only plan, and the option to go snorkeling to explore the reefs up close (not included). Lunch is traditional Caribbean-style, with a tasting of fruits, aguas frescas, and coffee. As the afternoon draws to a close, we will cruise back to the Cartagena pier and head to the hotel, leaving the rest of your time free to immerse yourself in the city's unique charm and magic. As the afternoon draws to a close, we will cruise back to the Cartagena pier and head to the hotel, leaving the rest of your time free to immerse yourself in the city's unique charm and magic.
The day is ours to enjoy Cartagena at our own pace — its colonial streets, its cuisine, its shops, or simply sitting in a plaza to watch Caribbean life go by. For those who want to do more, a variety of optional activities are available to round out the experience. · Bike Tour: A bicycle ride through the historic center of the city. · Caribbean Food Tour: An experience to discover Colombian Caribbean cuisine from the inside. · Palenque: Visit to San Basilio de Palenque, the first free town in the Americas and an Intangible Cultural Heritage site. · Sunset Catamaran Dinner: Dinner while sailing across Cartagena Bay at sunset. · El Totumo Mud Volcano: A dip in Colombia's most famous mud volcano, just a short drive from the city. · Barranquilla City Tour (full day): A day to discover the city of Carnival, just over an hour from Cartagena.
One last breakfast before transferring to Rafael Núñez International Airport for the flight home. Colombia — Bogotá, the Coffee Region, Medellín, and Cartagena — stays behind, with all its diversity, its color, and its people held in memory.
